I am a Entrepreneur, a Network Marketer AND a Go-Giver!

February 10th, 2010 Christine Posted in Christine's Journey, Find YOUR Bliss | 4 Comments »

I have been a stay at home….work at home…mom for almost 14 years! I have been a Entrepreneur for almost 14 years!  I have been a Network Marketer for 2 years and a GO-GIVER for  1 year. Truth is I have  been a go-giver for more years than that, but I’ve become a professional go-giver for the last year.

Let me explain….

Since having children my dream had always been to be a successful mom  and a contributor, in a monetary sense. to our household. When you end up being the single parent to 3 children ranging in ages from 3 months to 6 years old, things change! Now I understand that it did not have to… I mean, if I had not spent so much time being scared silly I may have understood that I could continue to pursue this dream while being the sole provider. But…I did not and I had nobody to explain any of this to me.

So…..until 1995 I worked for a Dr and did his billing along with ALOT of the other stuff in the office, including assisting with minor procedures….while getting paid a dollar or two over minimum wage!  Thank God for Medical and food stamps!

So one day we are driving down 15 coming from the LA area headed back to San Diego in heavy traffic and thanks to a somewhat minor traffic accident I end up with an injury that takes me out of work. At this time I was working for a medical supply company AND a Dr.office.  I worked from 6am till 3pm then left the Scripps area and headed to Mission Valley where I worked from 4pm until 8pm.  My parents watched my kids until I got home.  Yes….it was hard. To this day when I think about this time in my life I have serious guilt issues to deal with! I missed so much time with my kids.

Well, thanks to the accident I started spending alot of time with my kids! Yippee!   This was the beginning of my work at home experience. Although during this time I did own a coffee shop at SDSU! That was fun but not profitable quick enough for a single mom so I sold it.  Back to home employment. I worked for telemarketers for the most part and it kept money coming into the house.

After all of these years I was lead to a network marketing company ( an MLM) that taught me some significant lessons in life, which in turn lead me to found a non profit to assist single parent families!   Ahhhhhh here is the Go-Giver part!

I have been a go-giver most of my life, I think. I have always enjoyed giving to others……putting others needs before mine and my families alot of the time. Why? Because I always tried to teach my kids that we may have had it hard, but there are so many others that have it alot harder! So…we were go-givers, as a family!

But…I have become a professional go-giver, if you will, by founding a non profit AND by becoming a network marketer.  You may be wondering ….A network marketer?  Really?  Yes, really!

I have found that being a network marketer allows me many, many opportunities to help others. Well, mostly ALL of my time spent network marketing is spent helping others. Helping others achieve their dreams or realize they have them!

It is through network marketing that I came to the realization  that I wanted to found a non profit! it is through network marketing that I found that I was able to touch peoples lives and make a difference! It can be an awesome experience! And THAT is what I wish someone would have told me way back when……..that is what I tell people.

If you are not waking up each day and saying to the world….”How may I serve YOU”? then, with all due respect I think you are missing something HUGE! .  If you think it is only about the money then I feel sorry for you. The money is secondary to the people!

When you make it about others your life, including your business life, will change forever! But you need to be real about it……God…the universe…whatever you want to call it knows if you are sincere or not!   :-)

**Gosh…now I am not sure where I should put this….my journey?? Blessing in giving??? FIND YOUR BLISS??  LOL  it applies in ALL!

Blessings from Blessing in Giving!

2010  is going to be a year of growth for Blessing in Giving!  I am so happy to announce that we have raised half of the money need to file for our 501(C)(3)  !!  Once we are able to file and then get approved we will be in a position to open our own accounts and raise money and distribute money in a easier fashion then we are currently able to!

I am currently getting started on an official Business plan for Blessing! I have had one in the past year but I would not call it a very professional one! I have been receiving some mentoring from a very nice lady who has shared info with me which will make it easier for me to write up a professional business plan.  Praise God! As I find a business plan to be one of the hardest things to do!

I am looking forward to alot of growth in 2010! I am already looking towards 2011 when I hope that we will be in a better position financially to help even more families than ever before!

Did  you know…..

There are….13.6 million single parents in the United States today, and those parents are responsible for raising 21.2 million children

WOW….staggering numbers

SO…..it happens again!

Over the last 2 years I have, admittedly, gone though some “stuff”  LOL but I keep persevering, as seen from previous posts! If you know not what I speak of then look through the archives! You will soon be enlightened.

“Stuff” seems to be the name of MY GAME!  LOL

WHY? Well let me tell you……, a few months ago I started a new business venture and I was very revved up over it. I must say that I felt good and I really knew God had placed me in the right place at the right time with this business. It is a Health and Wellness business, right up my alley as I am always on the look out for ways to improve my health and strengthen my longevity..or is that lengthen?

I was moving right along with my business, but thankfully had not had the time yet to really get too deeply ingrained in it because BAM…did I say BAM? YES…as usual something happened and things…well, they started changing! Wow…I’m surprised!  LOL  When was the last time I had a normal non eventful year?  Not too sure, I may have to get back to that question.

You might say ” so what happened to your instincts? You said God had placed you where you needed to be” ummmmm I still feel HE had me where HE wanted me to be. As a matter of fact, I have no doubt! Ya know why?  Because HE placed me in a team where,  if I had not been there I would never have heard about this new opportunity. I would never have been in a position to know people who earn 7 figure incomes that gave me the inside scoop on what was happening in the industry and where there was an absolute opportunity that does not come along often!  So…yes, GOD is in control!

Did I ever doubt it? NO…..not once!  Really!

Does GOD exist?

Today?  I just want to say that there is no place on earth like Disneyworld at Christmas! OK…there are probably alot of places, no doubt..that are beyond amazing at Christmas and every other minute of the year! BUT I LOVE WDW at Christmas..oh truth is I love it most anytime! LOL

That picture above is one of the pictures that I took on our most recent Christmas visit, this last Dec.

Why did I decide to blog about Disney today? Well, I just booked our trip for Christmas 2010!! Not just for hubby and self but for 3 of our adult children, my parents and 5 of our grandchildren!

Here is a picture of where we will be staying bltatwdw We are DVC owners ( Disney Vacation Club owners) and this is our home resort! So we will be staying in Dec from the 5th till the 10th. We will have the dining plan and we will attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, The kids will get to see Mickey’s Christmas Parade with snow on Main St!  Then of course they will get to see The Osborne lights…I do not know who enjoys that more the kids or the adults!!

Yes..Disneyworld is one of the happiest places on earth for our family, especially during the holidays!  I can safely say that any year we are taking the family to Disney World it is easy for them to be blissful the entire year while awaiting that big evet!

OH..and we will have a new granddaughter to take with us this time! Not sure of her name yet…..maybe Jordan Sophia?  What do you think?

Cheers

How do you find your BLISS?

January 4th, 2010 Christine Posted in Find YOUR Bliss | 1 Comment »

How do you find your BLISS? Do you meditate? for some people, especially some Christians, meditation is a….ummm well…it is a whole nother story! But I digress……. so, do you meditate? Do you soak in a “calgon take me away” tub? Do you get a mani-pedi? Do you find a tall tree and sit under it with a book? What exactly is your method to find your BLISS?

ME? Gosh, I have a few different things that I try to do in order to tap into my BLISS. I mean..on a spiritual level I listen to CD’s or read alot of different things by different authors such as Joel Osteen,Charles Stanley,Doreen Virtue…..as you can see I have very eclectic tastes! I like it that way….  OH and I DO meditate! One of my favorite things to do is to go to the tanning bed and get into a 12 minute bed and while in there I meditate! I love it! Some days it is the only quiet time I get!  Have you ever tried it? Oh there is something about getting into a tanning bed on a cold winter day and becoming one with God! Open and empty your mind and ask HIM in. Very refreshing!

On a more intellectual level I find there is nothing better than a cup of coffee and a good book at my local Barnes and Noble! barnesandnoble ahhhhhhhhh the simpler things in life! Yes….this simple cup of java and a nice book can really help me find my BLISS…..

I also find that writing can help me to wind down, and get in touch with my more spiritual and blissful side! Although sometimes it does a really good job of winding me UP! Usually not though. I mostly try not to be up on a soap box, more often than not I like to meander through a subject, take my time and write articles that evoke nothing but relaxed feelings in people.

If this were a movie this is about the time that you would hear………..WHOA- EVERYTHING WOULD BE SCREECHING  AND CRASHING TO A DEAD STOP! ………..

Who am I trying to kid??? If you are a fan of my writing then you know that my meandering tends to end up on a soap box!!  …..I just cannot help it. So, ok, I tried to sound like I am this oh so laid back chick with her BLISS so intact! I bet you may even have bought into it for a minute or two, huh? I like to think at times that really is how you would describe me. But mostly I am a soap box kinda gal! I get revved up pretty easily about things that I am passionate about. But..ya know in the end I think that is where my BLISS may actually lie…in the cause. I like the fight for the underdog! I like the cause…I like to help…I really enjoy life!

However you find your BLISS I hope you feel as good as I do when I am finding mine!

Cheers!

I love you……..

Please pray

October 26th, 2009 Christine Posted in Christine's Journey | No Comments »

I was talking to a friend today and he told me about a lady that he works for and how her 27 yr old daughter is in Florida on vacation and came down with H1N1. The young mother of a 7 month old is on vacation with her husband and his family in Florida. She came down with the Flu and is now in the hospital on a ventilator and today is being put on dialysis.

Please pray for her recovery as well as peace for her family here in Indiana and the family with her in Florida. It is so sad! And it is so hard to watch this happen.

The media is making us all so afraid, I wold like to say that I do not know the preexisting condition of this young lady nor do I know if this is a secondary infection. All that I know is she is 27 and very, very ill and is in need of prayers as is her family.

I appreciate all the prayers. I belive prayer is the strongest tool we have to fight. So join me in a prayer for her and her family. God will take care of her and them.

Thank you.

True Friends

true friends r.. Pictures, Images and Photos

True friends, are there people out there who are in need of true friends? OR does everyone have them. I mean, am I the only person in the world who does not seem to have a real true friend? I find it so hard to imagine that I am the only one.

I have been spending the last 2 years growing and learning all about myself and how to treat others right and how to care for others first. I have been on a journey to better my life through giving, caring, generosity….. and you know what? I have found that I really do not have any true friends. Yes, this has caused me some dark moments over the last few months then today  I heard Joe Vitale speaking and he said something that really got me to thinking. He said that whatever you are complaining about can be made into a product. I mean….he is speaking from the point of wanting to make a living, to be successful, what ever the big complaint is in the world today, if you look at it you will find a product. It got me looking at myself, what is my big complaint? What is it that put me into such a dark place? Lack of friendship, lack of loyalty, lack of passion among people, lack of caring FOR ME by others, lack of balance when it comes to give and take in my life…among those that might call themselves friend?

Example:  DELETED RANT! DELETED RANT!

Okay, so I was going to give you a great example but realized it just does not matter! I am not here to bash people…quite the opposite! I am here to STOP THE BASHING. I want to reach out to people and see if there are others who feel there is no one in their lives that really support them. Other than maybe their family and in some cases not even them!   Joe Vitale said that whatever you are complaining about is a great product, something you can sell.  If that is true then what he is saying is that others are affected by the same complaint and the complaint in itself is the very thing that you need to look at for your great product. Ok….so if I feel this way then maybe others feel this way, so what can we do to remove this from our lives?

We need to find trustworthy people, loyal people, good people, good friends. So, if I know how to be a good friend, especially because of the way people have treated me, then maybe there are others out there that really would know how to be a good, loyal, trustworthy friend because of the way they have been treated by others. DUH.   So the way I see it WE all need to get together and be each others friends!

Seems pretty simple. Now I need to figure out how to get us together.

I will get back with you soon! Any ideas, comment me!
