Constant JOY!

April 22nd, 2010 Christine Posted in Christine's Journey, Find YOUR Bliss No Comments »

Bliss!! Ahhhhh! I have been searching for my bliss for a couple of years now and just realized something….
it was there all the time! Right in front of my face for me to have whenever I wanted. I was searching so hard I could not see it.
Lorraine ( a friend of mine on Facebook) said it well today on her status! She said ” No one can make you feel inferior without your consent” ahhhhhhhhhhh…I have known this for a long time but yet, I could not see my BLISS.

I have my bliss, it is right here with me at all times! Do YOU see it? It is MY choice to see it or not. I can have my bliss and feel constant JOY…

It can be hard at times…but then I try and remember…it is my choice!
Constant JOY is so much better than anything else this world has to offer!

Excuse me while I go enjoy some more….constant JOY :-) Blessings!

Is There Coffee In Heaven?

As I was sitting on my patio this morning drinking my coffee and enjoying the peace and the birds…the sounds of the morning, I started wondering….is there coffee in heaven? I mean, this morning was surely a little piece of heaven.

So…is there coffee in heaven?

Powerful Intentions!

April 17th, 2010 Christine Posted in Christine's Journey, Find YOUR Bliss No Comments »

RELAX! I cannot say enough….RELAX!  You need to learn to relax and stop worrying. Pray to God and ask Him to help you to relax.  Ask the angels…..ask Divine….I cannot stress how important it is too relax.  Your intentions really do help to create your reality!

Think about it, if you wake up and upon rising you stub your toe…more than likely you will then have a day that follows with toothpaste on your shirt, coffee spilled and traffic all the way to work!  True? Sound familiar? I know it does for me. ( Do you believe in the Law of Attraction?)

What I have learned is that if I can take a step back after the toe gets stubbed, take a deep breath and get an attitude adjustment, then things will get better! I will not only get my coffee and it stays in my cup but I will have a very easy and stress free drive to my destination that day!

But let’s take it a step further, I say when you wake up…DO NOT wait for the stubbed toe!! When you open your eyes in the morning before that BIG TOE hits the floor :-) say a prayer of thankfullness, hold a thought of gratitude! Pray a prayer of  good intentions for the day, not only for you but first and foremost for others!

So you skeptics…..let me ask you this. “What is the worst that can happen if you follow this philosophy?” ummmmm you “feel” good?!  You start the day with an attitude of gratitude and feel good?  Doesnt sound too bad to me or much of a sacrifice!

I pray YOU go out and have a well intentioned day!

Found it…..

I have found my BLISS today…if only fleetingly….through the words of this song

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

The words from this song resonate well with my soul. THAT is how I found my bliss today….for a  little while!

How about you? Did you capture your bliss today?  What I have found is that I can feel my bliss through songs….or other people or a beautiful TREE..YES, TREE. I LOVE Trees! I can find bliss in a tree!  What is it OR where is it that you find or feel your bliss?

Let me know! I also find bliss in comments! LOL

Peace be with you brothers and sisters..today and always!

Desperately seeking MY BLISS………

April 9th, 2010 Christine Posted in Find YOUR Bliss No Comments »

I am still searching for mine. Sometimes I think I am close…and then I feel shut down.  Then I feel close…then…well, you get the point.

What do I have to do to find my BLISS anyway?!

If anyone is out there reading this and you have found yours…or even glimpsed it, I would LOVE to hear from you! What does it look like…how does it feel? Is it BLISSFUL? Oh I imagine it is…….is it possible to find true happiness or BLISS?

I still think…YES..yes it is. I have bought a few more books….by Authors such as Louis Hay and Doreen Virtue and I am listening to an online course from Hay House entitled  The Heal Your Life Online Course which includes 8 different classes.

I am desperately still seeking my bliss…

I will let you know what I find and please let me know if you have found yours.

PEACE!

I am a Entrepreneur, a Network Marketer AND a Go-Giver!

February 10th, 2010 Christine Posted in Christine's Journey, Find YOUR Bliss 4 Comments »

I have been a stay at home….work at home…mom for almost 14 years! I have been a Entrepreneur for almost 14 years!  I have been a Network Marketer for 2 years and a GO-GIVER for  1 year. Truth is I have  been a go-giver for more years than that, but I’ve become a professional go-giver for the last year.

Let me explain….

Since having children my dream had always been to be a successful mom  and a contributor, in a monetary sense. to our household. When you end up being the single parent to 3 children ranging in ages from 3 months to 6 years old, things change! Now I understand that it did not have to… I mean, if I had not spent so much time being scared silly I may have understood that I could continue to pursue this dream while being the sole provider. But…I did not and I had nobody to explain any of this to me.

So…..until 1995 I worked for a Dr and did his billing along with ALOT of the other stuff in the office, including assisting with minor procedures….while getting paid a dollar or two over minimum wage!  Thank God for Medical and food stamps!

So one day we are driving down 15 coming from the LA area headed back to San Diego in heavy traffic and thanks to a somewhat minor traffic accident I end up with an injury that takes me out of work. At this time I was working for a medical supply company AND a Dr.office.  I worked from 6am till 3pm then left the Scripps area and headed to Mission Valley where I worked from 4pm until 8pm.  My parents watched my kids until I got home.  Yes….it was hard. To this day when I think about this time in my life I have serious guilt issues to deal with! I missed so much time with my kids.

Well, thanks to the accident I started spending alot of time with my kids! Yippee!   This was the beginning of my work at home experience. Although during this time I did own a coffee shop at SDSU! That was fun but not profitable quick enough for a single mom so I sold it.  Back to home employment. I worked for telemarketers for the most part and it kept money coming into the house.

After all of these years I was lead to a network marketing company ( an MLM) that taught me some significant lessons in life, which in turn lead me to found a non profit to assist single parent families!   Ahhhhhh here is the Go-Giver part!

I have been a go-giver most of my life, I think. I have always enjoyed giving to others……putting others needs before mine and my families alot of the time. Why? Because I always tried to teach my kids that we may have had it hard, but there are so many others that have it alot harder! So…we were go-givers, as a family!

But…I have become a professional go-giver, if you will, by founding a non profit AND by becoming a network marketer.  You may be wondering ….A network marketer?  Really?  Yes, really!

I have found that being a network marketer allows me many,many opportunities to help others. Well, mostly ALL of my time spent network marketing is spent helping others. Helping others achieve their dreams or realize they have them!

It is through network marketing that I came to the realization  that I wanted to found a non profit! it is through network marketing that I found that I was able to touch peoples lives and make a difference! It can be an awesome experience! And THAT is what I wish someone would have told me way back when……..that is what I tell people.

If you are not waking up each day and saying to the world….”How may I serve YOU”? then, with all due respect I think you are missing something HUGE! .  If you think it is only about the money then I feel sorry for you. The money is secondary to the people!

When you make it about others your life, including your business life, will change forever! But you need to be real about it……God…the universe…whatever you want to call it knows if you are sincere or not!   :-)

**Gosh…now I am not sure where I should put this….my journey?? Blessing in giving??? FIND YOUR BLISS??  LOL  it applies in ALL!

How do you find your BLISS?

January 4th, 2010 Christine Posted in Find YOUR Bliss 1 Comment »

How do you find your BLISS? Do you meditate? for some people, especially some Christians, meditation is a….ummm well…it is a whole nother story! But I digress……. so, do you meditate? Do you soak in a “calgon take me away” tub? Do you get a mani-pedi? Do you find a tall tree and sit under it with a book? What exactly is your method to find your BLISS?

ME? Gosh, I have a few different things that I try to do in order to tap into my BLISS. I mean..on a spiritual level I listen to CD’s or read alot of different things by different authors such as Joel Osteen,Charles Stanley,Doreen Virtue…..as you can see I have very eclectic tastes! I like it that way….  OH and I DO meditate! One of my favorite things to do is to go to the tanning bed and get into a 12 minute bed and while in there I meditate! I love it! Some days it is the only quiet time I get!  Have you ever tried it? Oh there is something about getting into a tanning bed on a cold winter day and becoming one with God! Open and empty your mind and ask HIM in. Very refreshing!

On a more intellectual level I find there is nothing better than a cup of coffee and a good book at my local Barnes and Noble! barnesandnoble ahhhhhhhhh the simpler things in life! Yes….this simple cup of java and a nice book can really help me find my BLISS…..

I also find that writing can help me to wind down, and get in touch with my more spiritual and blissful side! Although sometimes it does a really good job of winding me UP! Usually not though. I mostly try not to be up on a soap box, more often than not I like to meander through a subject, take my time and write articles that evoke nothing but relaxed feelings in people.

If this were a movie this is about the time that you would hear………..WHOA- EVERYTHING WOULD BE SCREECHING  AND CRASHING TO A DEAD STOP! ………..

Who am I trying to kid??? If you are a fan of my writing then you know that my meandering tends to end up on a soap box!!  …..I just cannot help it. So, ok, I tried to sound like I am this oh so laid back chick with her BLISS so intact! I bet you may even have bought into it for a minute or two, huh? I like to think at times that really is how you would describe me. But mostly I am a soap box kinda gal! I get revved up pretty easily about things that I am passionate about. But..ya know in the end I think that is where my BLISS may actually lie…in the cause. I like the fight for the underdog! I like the cause…I like to help…I really enjoy life!

However you find your BLISS I hope you feel as good as I do when I am finding mine!

Cheers!

Do you meditate?

September 22nd, 2009 Christine Posted in Find YOUR Bliss 1 Comment »

I was listening to Dr. Wayne Dyer today.  He was talking about Japa. Have you heard of it? It is a form of meditation where you concentrate on saying the “sound” of God’s name over and over. In Japa the thought is that if you repeat the sound of the name of God over and over again it will bring you into the “gap”. The place where you are about as close to God as you can be.
I love God Pictures, Images and Photos
I do not know if I mentioned it or not but I am a Christian believer, I believe in God and that Jesus Christ was sent to earth to die for our sins, yours and mine. I believe it is necessary for all of us to forgive and move on, I believe it is very necessary for us to love one another as we want to be loved and as God wants us to love. I do believe that if we have the need for forgiveness or the need to forgive in our lives that we need to take care of that or we will not be able to receive all of the blessings that God has for us.

I also believe in meditation and what it can do for the body and for your,my, mental attitude.  I have heard some people, Christian people, say that you should not meditate, they say that  it allows Satan to get into your head and manipulate you. I do not subscribe to that philosophy and I have searched the Internet trying to find something written about this idea. I could not find anything. I cannot fathom why these people have said this. If you have any ideas on this or knowledge of it can you please comment on this blog and enlighten me?

I think meditation is a good thing. I think it allows you to quiet your mind and hear the voice of God. I believe if your prayer is for discernment then you need to meditate and listen for God’s message to you.

It works and I believe this is just another step in the journey to find my BLISS.

Wash your face every morning in a bath of praise.

September 16th, 2009 Christine Posted in Find YOUR Bliss No Comments »

This quote by Charles Spurgeon~Wash your face every morning in a bath of praise! is one way that I find myself getting closer and closer to finding my bliss. I have found that when I stop singing praises in the morning that things start getting a little SLOW. I do not know how to describe it exactly other than to say it as simply as possible. When I stop saying “thank you” first thing upon waking, then my days become a little bleak. My blessings do not come in like a lion they sneak in like a kitten. They are still so sweet and I love them, but when I sing praises for my life- well, the blessings come fast and furious.  :-)

In order to find our bliss in life we have to embrace our life. We have to accept our life and be responsible for our own happiness! And that means to stop blaming others when things go wrong.  YOU are the only one who is responsible for YOU. YOU make your happiness and your sorrow. You know this is true, you know that it is in your power to be happy or sad.

Do not get me wrong, there IS a time and place, a season if you will, for sorrow and grief, pain comes and goes in and out of our life, that is a part of life. When we find God He does not tell us there will be no more pain, he does not say we will never make another mistake or be angry with others, He makes none of these claims. He just asks us to continue on, show HIS love to others, ask for forgiveness and learn to forgive others. I think forgiving others is the big piece of the puzzle here. In order to find our bliss it is vitally important to  learn to take responsibility and forgive others.  If there is something in your heart that needs forgiveness it WILL keep you from your bliss. PERIOD. There is no way arond that. You may find a small piece of bliss…a happiness, but BLISS…I don’t think you will find your bliss.

We all must search our hearts, ask God to look into us as only He can and see if there is something..a grudge of some kind in our heart. Ask Him to show it to us, give us the ears to hear Him and the wisdom to know how to handle the situation once we discern it.  Remove all hard feelings from your heart and let the love of God fill it. Learn to appreciate your life everyday, learn to express to God daily how wonderful you think your life is. The rewards you will receive for your efforts are limitless.  You WILL find your bliss.

This is just one of the ways I find my bliss. I do it on a daily basis.

When I wake in the morning I say out loud and sometimes in my head….”Thank you for my life, thank you for my family, thank you,thank you!” and then later….” Lord let me be a blessing to someone else today. Let me shine with your love!” And then throughout the day “Please forgive me, I am sorry. Thank you and I love you.”   I do these things daily because it keeps me connected to God and to the flow of my blessings. I can tell you with all honesty, if I get down and stop doing it, I can get depressed and see the darker side of life. I can let things bother me. The sure fire way out is to do the above. I do it fast and hard , I get my head in the right place. Soon enough I will get back into a place of receiving my blessings and finding my Bliss.

Thank you! I love you!

How did HE find HIS bliss?

Joel Osteen Pictures, Images and Photos

Joel Osteen…MR. SMILEY ! As my family likes to refer to him. Whether you like him or not, you have to admit this man smiles ALOT!

For the record….I LIKE him. :-)   I have been watching/listening to Joel for about 3 years now. I know what he has done! I know what she has done! She says with sarcasm! You do not have to worry that I am not aware of their character flaws or the fact that they are actually human. I believe in ONE GOD and it is NOT Joel Osteen or Victoria! So let’s just get that out of the way right up front! I know there are sweet dear ladies at my church that tell my mother…..”ewwwww, watch out for her, tell Christine to be careful!!! He is one of them! he is a “new ager and he does not preach the gospel”

But, let us be clear….I LIKE HIM.

Okay…so let us put aside whether you like him or not, let us just admit that it would appear he has found his bliss, wouldn’t you say? I would. Or at least it appears that way.

So, how do you think he found his bliss? Well, let’s take a look at some of his own words.

From Living Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen-

“Happiness is a choice. When you get up in the morning, you can choose to be happy and enjoy that day, or you can choose to be unhappy and go around with a sour attitude. It’s up to you. If you make the mistake of allowing your circumstances to dictate your happiness, then you risk missing out on God’s abundant life!”

This is a pretty simple philosophy. I know when I wake up in the morning I make a choice, each and everyday I get up and when I am in a bad mood about something, when something has got me fearful or just has me in a sour attitude, I make a choice to either stay with that fear or bad  attitude……. OR I can have a little conversation with myself and God about clearing out the mess in my  head. I am not saying it is simple, it is not, but I do it. It may take a few hours before I accomplish a shift in attitude, but eventually, if I stick with it, it works!

So, for the man with the smiley face? He says it is a choice. Me…I agree and I know you can do it. OH…and I am speaking for Joel now and for me…..we surround ourselves with POSITIVE people and things. It makes all the difference in the world!

I know it may sound like it is too simple to be true but it is true. Wake up each day and start Thanking God for the wonderfully beautiful day that He has given to You! See if this changes your life… today the changes you see will be more about “feelings’ it will make you feel GOOD! But….maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but soon you will start experiencing BIGGER benefits! Bigger changes! !! Very soon!  I promise you!
